We were living in housing projects, such as on Cleveland’s west side, relatively close to where 12 year-old Tamir Rice was killed, several years back. We live in different types of neighborhoods, now where tragedies, like this, never happen – to any children – not at the hands of professionals. It would NOT be tolerated…

But, because of my upbringing, I am never far from west-side project, Cleveland-type neighborhoods, where tragedies, like Tamir, Breonna (and…) are allowed to be tolerated by the broader society.
